Dan Hipgrave former guitarist from the indie band Toploader, now a freelance journalist and presenter came down to Southampton last week to find out all about Zapcats from Vortex Racing.

Dan joined Championship winner Mick Pritchard as his co-pilot for the morning whilst Craig Davis and Baz Minns accompanied them on the water in the Vortex Racing Zapcats.

Although cold, the weather was exceptional and Dan had a fantastic time progressing from slightly apprehensive to a true convert even taking control of the tiller himself at the end of the session.

Dan had a fantastic time and was very interested in the National Championship and how we ran our Zapcat events, from someone who not seen or heard of a Zapcat before he was totally hooked at the end.
