Gath renew their association with Zapcat Racing

"Gath Helmets uk are over-the-moon to have once again been chosen as the helmet of choice of the hard-working Zapcat series safety team. We know that the guys and girls who wear our helmets will be pushing themselves to their limits to ensure the competitors in the insane Zapcat Racing series are as safe as is humanly possible. It's a great feeling knowing that the fit, protection and reputation of Gath helmets is seen as the premier choice for this group of professionals - another string to Gaths long bow of watersports safety... find out more"

Zapcat Racing Sponsorship
Minimize

Sponsorship to us is all about mutually beneficial business partnerships and marketing, we know Zapcat Racing offers exciting entertainment and through the Zapcat experiences/events, provided by our sister company Vortex Racing, we have the perfect platform to provide the necessary introduction and future development of the sport.

ZCR is instilling a fresh approach to an existing format and it is the perfect time for various businesses/brands to maximise the marketing returns through their association with this unique and extreme sport.

We are already promoting the sport to a much wider audience than ever before, through the race series, televised events, corporate days and the massive gift experience market.  Additionally with the assistance of local councils at race venues we offer a fantastic free to view motorsport to visitors, holiday makers and residents across the UK, which has led to hundreds of thousands watching.

Not only can companies become directly involved with the Championships through sponsor partnerships that benefit all of the competitors, supporters, officials and spectators, but can also sponsor individual teams too.

Why Help for Heroes?
Minimize

When ZCR Ltd took over the management and progression of the sport it was not a hard decision to support a charity but choosing which one to appoint officially was, especially as there are quite a few other worthy causes that we still support!

We can proudly announce the first Official Zapcat Racing charity for 2010 is Help for Heroes and in particular the Battle Back iniative.

Since the start, Zapcat Racing has been fortunate to have received the patronage of several services teams, in particular the Royal Marines Zapcat Association; a group of men and women who since 2006 have made their own unique contribution to the championships. They have also been recognised for their achievements and more recently received a great deal of encouragement and support from both the Royal Marines and the Royal Navy too.

For some it has been the pure adrenaline, thrill, competition and camaraderie of Zapcat Racing, for others part of their rehabilitation process from injury whilst serving & also the excuse to have a great time!

Article 'Wounded Marines Bounce Back'

We will be making collections at all events from spectators and will more than likely introduce a fine or forfeit system for competitors, staff & supporters!

Our aim is also to run a Celebrity Zapcat race towards the end of the year and any assistance that you can provide would be very much appreciated, so please contact us as soon as possible.

'There are many sponsorship opportunities to be had with the celebrity race.'

Tohatsu Marine have been supplying their 50HP 2 Stroke engines for this one-design racing class since 2001.

Tohatsu also provide engines for the Inshore Rescue Boats of the Zapcat Safety Team plus an engine as a prize for the National Championship winning team.  Tohatsu are also a Grand Prix sponsor for the first time this year too.

Typhoon International is one of the leading Drysuit brands in the UK not only for commercial use but also water sports.

It has been the preferred brand of Zapcat Racing teams over the last few years.

Typhoon has increased their sponsorship this year from supplying last years’ National Champions Vortex Racing with Drysuits to kitting out all of the Zapcat Racing Safety team with Drysuits, Wetsuits, Boots and Dry Bags.

Additionally Typhoon will be supplying some Drysuit prizes too.

There is only one CE rated body armour brand and that is Forcefield, this lightweight performance product range the best in the marketplace and it works!

Zapcat Racers are prone to broken ribs and the Rib Protector has massively reduced these incidents, this year many teams will also be wearing the Lumbar Protector too.

Forcefield are providing their products to teams at each Grand Prix.

This is the first year that Forcefield have been a Zapcat Racing Series Partner.

Predator is a world leader in actioncam technology, developing products that can capture video footage in the most extreme conditions.

And at Predator we know that Zapcat are by far the most exciting and challenging of all powerboat classes and therefore it’s not difficult to see why we are involved closely with the series and wholeheartedly support the championship.

Predator Technologies spent most of the season last year working with the Vortex Racing team refining their superb waterproof and shockproof video camera design.

Even the breaking surf of Watergate Bay did not affect the cameras!  It was only the Predator camera that captured the dramatic footage from that event that will be shown on the BBC programme Seaside Rescue very soon!

This is the first year that NGK has been involved as a series partner.

In previous years they have sponsored a couple of Championship winners, as one of the leading spark plug brands in the world, NGK are a key supplier to all forms of motorsport.

NGK are also sponsoring a new trophy this year and full details will be announced soon.

Tohatsu Marine is sponsoring the first two rounds of the Championship.

This is taking place in Bournemouth on the 30th and 31st May.  As the season opener it is guaranteed to be highly contested and exciting.
